was the 4speed already mounted to your bellhousing to the 440 and concentrically lined up when you took it out ?
I tried mounting my Kiesler from underneath but then ended up pulling the motor back out and mounting it all together out of the car. I had to align the bellhousing and some other odds and ends and I was glad I did it out of the car. doing it under the car with no tranny jack and on my back simply sucked
If you use a load leveler its real easy to put them as one unit into your car.
