Hey, is this the same '70 Barracuda that got smashed??? I guess CUDAJUNK didn't make it there in time to save it....d**n...

And it sure didnt look too far gone to me...

It's not the same car, for one thing CUDAJUNK said the guy drove it in, nobody could have driven this car.  look at the pics again.

Has to be the same car, look at the front fender/bumper, pretty coincidental for a black junked 70 cuda to have the same rust spot on the bumper and same dent on the fender.

sure...it was my car.it was not driven in like scrap yard guys told the guy in the other post.i did get sick of people asking if it was for sale.i espically was fed up with people saying "did you see what the last one on the barrett jerkoff auction did".it was hauled in on the back of the flatbed.after i unloaded the car people were crawling all over it.everyone wanted to buy it but the yard i deal with will not sell cars to people off the street..the car is JUNK.everything was rotted.the firewall was gone.for the most part anything worth $hit was gone.their may have been a few parts left.i was going to scrap it a year ago but my friend who is building 2 70 cudas took it for what was left.the car split in 2.its pretty tough to tell by the pic(cause the loader ran it over)but the roof was even buckeled.nobody in their right mind would have fixed it.i sure would NEVER have sold the car to anybody not even my worst enemy.i would not be able to sleep at night.

I can see, in that one picture, almost $1500 worth of parts alone.  Poor car.

I gotta think even a far gone car like that could live on as a race car since so many builders cut the factory stuff out. Shaved firewall , one piece fiberglass frontend, tube chassis, you name it. Better than chopping a good BS code or something.Too rotted and wrecked to live again on the street but that maybe one way to survive. I have seen some FUGLY race cars at the track. I guess too many of us only consider cars "too far gone" when they look like that T/A corpse on the trailer at Carlisle last year. I know some of you saw that one :faint:

I guess what I was saying is why didn't you just say yeah and sell it.  Obviously you could have pulled some money off of it.  But its over and done with now so no point on keep talking about it, its just too bad there is another one tallied up for being smashed
