    Need help!!
    I need a fuel and Amp gauges for a 73 Challenger Rallye.
    Also looking for the voltage limiter for the inst. cluster.

    Does anyone know if any Co. repros these parts or where I can buy them used??? :thumbsup:

    Pete,
      Once in a great while, you'll see someone parting out a Rally dash on E-Bay. The gauges are tough to find individually. They are not reproduced, other than the tach. I think I have an extra voltage limiter circuit around here if you are interested.

    I was afraid of that. I'll have to hunt around Carlisle. As for the Volt Limiter, I looked in Year One. They list an aftermarket one. If it's not it, I will def. get back to you. I will let you know either way for the next guy.

    The YO part is for the A and B Body.

    A/B body on the left, E Body on the right.

    In the tech archive on Moparts.com there is an article on making a electronic voltage limiter. There is also a user (340_6Pak_Cuda) listed in the article who will do the conversion. I am trying to get his e-mail address because I also need the voltage limiter.

    Not a wise choice.  That setup is operating at the ragged edge, huge amount of heat being generated, without an effective way of dissipating it.  If you read the article the assembly was done at ambient temperature and even then it got hot, now put that assembly under the dash where temperatures can get to 150-200 degrees in the summer heat with no air circulation and the heat generated in a small area is astronomical.  In addition, if the transistor/regulator shorts the wrong way it will take the gauges with it.

    I went to NAPA auto parts and they had a voltage limiter there that works. so you could try them.
