    2 Speed Wiper transmission HELP!!

    I have a 73 Challenger with the 2 speed motor (23-67-98)that sticks out 90degrees to the firewall.
    The transmission has a rubber boot that hides a couple of nylon gears and a spring.
    I need help putting it together and proper installation instructions, it was in a box!

    Thank you for the manual except they leave out a important part. There is a spring loaded cam that the arm attaches to. There is no information in the manual about the cam or if they need any adjustments. I hope that helps explain the problem, the park switch on the motor is fine.

    Thank you very, very much you answered to questions.
     The first question was which side ot the metal stops the arm went on.
    The second problem was how the spring went in, it appears to hold the pieces apart.
    Are the any adjustments?
    What is correct installition procedure since I can't follow the books procedure.

    Anyone have a diagram of this 2 speed wiper circuit. I have a 2 speed motor, and a foot pump, So I went and got a 2 speed wiper switch. When the wiper is on low, there is power to every terminal on the motor?? When the switch is turned to high, I have no power to the motor. Could My harness be wrong?? The motor looks to be brand new. I noticed the arms never were hooked up, do they ground through the wiper arms or something??

    I'm gonna use Bullitt99's page to do some tests, but would like a circuit diagram to see whats going on.
    (1970 barracuda, now has rallye dash)

    I had the same problem and will post a drawing ASAP.
    Chrysler used a 2 speed switch with the electic washer function built in, it is a direct replacement. The one I used came from a 72 Roadrunner.

    2 speed switch with pump function even if I have a foot pump? If so that may be my problem, I'll take a look at the diagram. Thanks

    Ok...still can't get to the bottom of this wiper problem. If anyone has input it would be greatly appreciated. Here is a summary of what I have and what is going on.

    -I have a new 2 speed wiper motor, the car had foot pump and washer pump so I went with the foot pump as I had a new washer bucket without pump.

    -Switch in car was a 3 speed switch so I bought a 2 speed wiper switch.
    -Harness/connector on car has 4 wires. (Blue, Brown/white, brown, and Pink)
    -Harness connected - (Blue to "P", Brown/white to "A", Pink to "B", Brown to "W") letters corresponding to connectors on switch, F1 and F2 not connected.
    -switch panel is grounded good.

    When I turn switch to low speed, there is power to every terminal on the motor/resistor.
    When I turn switch to high speed, there is no power to the terminal.
    When I switch back and forth the motor moves a hair then stops.

    My question is do I have the wrong switch? am I missing wires? do I have an incorrect harness?

    Is there any way I can test my switch at the wiper motor?  I have a wiring diagram that I will attach...maybe someone can pick out something i'm missing from the info I gave. I'm pretty sure this is the right diagram for my car.

    edit ** I just looked at the pics above, I don't even have that contraption to connect my motor once I get it working.  :banghead:

    Yeah I noticed that but I don't have the corresponding DGR and R wires. I assume that is Dark green and Red? I only have brown, brown/white, pink and dark blue for my wiper plug in.

    You mention that you had a 3 speed switch so I suppose the harness was for a 3 speed setup. I can't tell what the DGR wire does but the R wire appears to go straight to the wiper motor. Is there any empty terminals on the motor? If so I would think you could add these wires. Beforehand you might want to check F1 & F2 for voltage in different positions to see if & when any is present. F2 may be for an electric washer pump or it may be the park curcuit.

    where did you find the motor and what is the easiest way to tell a 2 speed from a three speed ?

    I'm not sure if my harness if for a 3 speed or not, the harness wouldn't fit the 3 speed switch I have or the 2 speed. So i'm assuming i'm getting the wrong switches or the harness is wrong.  I will try plugging the switch back in and checking for voltage across F2, I don't have a F1 on my switch.
