Stuff i got at Mats and latest upgrade for the 'Cuda
« on: March 25, 2006 - 09:12:21 PM »
Picked myself up a few things at Mopars at the Strip this weekend.

Gotta pair of 26x10 Mickey T's mounted on cop rims, good amount of tire left, $100. Look teeny compared to seeing my 28" tall coopers in there. Local buddy and I will be splitting the use between his low/mid 14sec Van and my 'Cuda. I'll be getting my first passes next friday. In search of abouta 14.0 with the 318..

As far as the trans back i now have - 3000stall, low gear set in the trans, 3.91 suregrip, and a pair of 26x10 slicks..should get'up ok  :burnout:

Got one of Scott Harm's (HarmsAuto.com) shifters. Love it.

Moparts buddy supplied me with a core std dash gauge bezel i am using to redo my gauges. The gauge shown was just one i have around, i'll be putting the 3 black pro-comp autometers under the dash, a matching speedo/fuel gauge up in that dash bezel

And my $75 fiberglass 'cuda functional 6pack hood. Needs some finishing, I think i can probably tackle it, then have it painted  :woo: Black of course.

Thats about it if anyone is interested  Will keep me busy im sure, broke, working all the time, then finding time to get the duster going as well   :jumping:

Nice score on some cool parts, Mike!  The 'Cuda will look cool with the sixpack hoodscoop on it.

Awe man its been a long time since i got those. They are polk audios. Need a little flexing of the kickpanel to get it in there. Thats about it, no biggie. I did shim the front part of the parking brake about a 1/2" out to clear the speaker grille. If you need the specs i can prolly find my crutchfield.com invoice and get a part #.

Ok thanks,
I am more interested in the shimming of the brake pedal that you did.  Ill have to crawl under tonite and poke around mine.

what did you do to shim it out ?    I have seen some guys put the pedal in a vise and "persuade" it over to one side 1/2 inch with a mallet, but I would rather not.  hha

i took out the bolt closest to the back of the car. and it would kinda swing out some without any kinda forcing. so i took some spacing like from what you use at the alternator. cut it about a 1/2", used a longer bolt, and put the spacer behind the pedal assembly. No bending, hammering, etc.it just would swing out far enough on its own with that back bolt out so i spaced it out and tightened it down  :jumping:
