The car is a 318 car originally. After tearing out all the crap from inside I realized that this car is either a 3speed or a 4speed car that someone has taken the automatic mechanism's and cut them out of a rusted car and welded them on the 4speed hump.
The car is originally a single exhaust car due to the rear valance, it looks like it was originally a dual exhaust but upon closer inspection I can see where the installer of the dual exhaust had pounded out the valance to except the exhaust tip. The trunk is rusted through and did have a terrible popriveted patch. However the patch actually helped save the car from rusting out even further. There is also a huge hole in the drivers side front floor that still has the patch in place, same poor workmanship but it still actually helped the car from rusting further. Originally a Connecticut car that was moved here to Colorado in 1999. The previous owner and his father had owned the car since 1980. Father was a drunk and the son drove it through high school, probably both beat the crap out of the car. The shipping brackets from the factory are still on the rear frame rails. I just got rid of two rocky mountain field mice who had probably three or four pounds of food stashed in the drivers side cowl vent, and they had taken all the insulation from the car and stuffed the drivers door and the drivers rear quarter full of it. The car smells terrible right now but that will change at some point.
I really need a reproduction grill but have been unable to find a maker. I also need fenders and full rear quarters that I have been unable to find. Any leads where to find a grill? I would like some m46 side scoops also.
