New Zealand Accent Video
« on: March 27, 2006 - 12:56:47 AM »

Well I looked around some more and found a video for those of you who wanted to hear a Kiwi accent.
It combines a pretty good looking news reader, Rugby, the New All Black Haka and locals on the street.

That basically covers a wide diversity of angles our accent can be heard through.

(Click on the other options below the video if you have those types of players eg: Dial-Up etc)

Cheers,
Carl

We al-speak pretty much the same 'er mate, go figure aye chief. Besides before I ed down to the local to grab some cold ones I'll stop off at the fish & chip shop ans spend some hard-earn for some tucker, that is, before I mow the lawns. Well better go I got milo & vege-mite toast waiting plus a crate of DB Draught that cost me a fair bit of dosh.

...just did a quick Google for  - definition "haka" - and i probably haven't even scratched the surface...the word "sport" doesn't seem to be an accurate description of Rugby to me anymore :grinno:

Yip, it's a hair raising ritual for any Kiwi, anywhere in the world.
Basically asking the opposing team to bring it on, we are here for war and we giving it our all, even death.  :villagers:

No worries mate, Rugby season is almost upon us down here...you should check your local guides for an All Blacks game.
They do play them on TV over there.....you should watch a test match. Brilliant fun.  :naughty:
