Great job Goody!  Very stout for a 318 indeed!   Having been where you are, I can pass this tidbit of advice on to you.  You are soon going to discover the following:
It is pretty easy to go from the 15's into the 14's.  It gets a little harder to go from 14.30's to the high 13's.  It is a little more difficult to go from the high 13's to the mid/low 13's. It starts getting very difficult to put a 318 with a full body into the 12's and still be a daily driver.  As you can see, it is a law of diminishing returns deal.  Whereas you may be able to go from the high 14's into the low 14's for $500-$1000.00, to go from the low 14's into the low 13's takes a considerably larger investment of time/money.  Not trying to be a killjoy here, just trying to prepare you for the inevitable.  Getting quicker now requires more effort and cash, not to mention taking away from the ability to remain a daily driver.  You are like I was back in the day----bring on the speed baby!  If you are thoughtful, detail oriented, and carefully research each step, it will be a very rewarding experience for you.  I wish you all the best in your endeavor, just remember--"Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?"  Please keep us posted on your improvements, I love following these cars growth, it reminds me of myself back in the day.  And that is pretty cool stuff for an "Oldschool" kind of guy...........

I agree 100% on all that you mentioned. I do, however, see high 13s with some tinkering and some tires. That I think is more than do-able. Mid/Low 13s? I'm not thinking that, that is very likely as the car sits in full body. It's a 318, I can't expect it to do everything I want it to do, but I do it to do everything it can...as it is, without much more than some tire changing. Hense why I'll be tinkering and fine tuning it the best i can on my next outing. high 13s are do-able...I've said that when I first built the motor...a very..very good portion of the people that read that (not particularly here, but *cough* moparts *cough*) thought i was full of it. :villagers: Now that i have a close time-slip that 'just a 318' is now a '340 minus 17cubes'

Anything faster than about a 13.8, i think i will have to head to lower ground. The denisty altitude at the track that night was 3200feet...the "altitude correction" for the 14.3 comes out to a 13.8
