Mine was a B5-Blue car in and out. Now a white car with black interior.
I don't think I hurt the value much at all. As long as the paint is good and YOU like it.
I didn't have to worry about value, being in New Zealand these cars sell for big $$$ no matter what, color, engine or #'s. I've got what counts to me, the numbers matching drivetrain, but my car isn't 100% correct.
Worst comes to worst the new owner (if selling) can change the color back to it's original shade if he so desires at any stage and within 1 month have a factory correct show car again....piece of cake. #'s and correct.
Personal choice, mine was built to appear stock with upgraded new-tech goodies (most hidden) and the factory bugs were replaced with more modern components. I actually think I may have made some $$$ on swapping paint.
At the end of the day......it's night time. lol Sorry couldn't help myself....at the end of the day the car is only worth what someone wants to pay, value is in the eye of the beholder.
Good luck and let us know what happens and how you get on.
Sounds like one hell of a car set to run hard.
Cheers,
Carl
