I STOPED BY A LOCAL SALVAGE YARD WHERE I BUY MANY PARTS FROM AND SAW THIS, A 70 BARRACUDA BEING DESTROYED! THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD SAVE. THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN ANYTHING EXCEPT WHAT THE CAR WEIGHTED.

That just makes my stomach ache seeing that happen. Those wrecker guys must be Chebbie fans. Are they so stupid not to realize the value of the parts it was worth?

That stinks!!!  :stomp:

From the pic, it looks like the front passenger's fender WAS good, along with the front valence panel, and possibly grill and such. I feel ill now.  :puke:

That even made my wife cringe.  What are these people thinking?  This kind of sick thing happens in every state!

That's horrible! The car looked like it was intact, too!

I think that wrecker needs to grow a brain... he would have made a lot more off of selling the parts then he will with that car as scrap.

I find it so hard to figure out the people at salvage yards when they crush a car that has parts on it that are worth so much more than the steel in the car. They must have no brains at all or just don't care about the people in our hobby.

THE CAR WAS COMPLETE,THERE WERE MANY PARTS.. THE OWNER DROVE THE CAR THERE THAT MORNING. ( SO I WAS TOLD)  HE SAID HE WAS TIRED OF PEOPLE ASKING HIM IF HE WANTED TO SELL IT, SO HE FINALLY DECIDED TO SELL IT. I GUESS HE DID NOT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO HAVE IT.

Wow, they smashed it the same day they got it??? Talk about quick turn around. The guy who owned the car needs to be punched in the groin REAL hard. I dont understand how someone could sell something he knows is desireable to so many people, to a place he knows will destroy it...It disgusts me to the core. He must have PAID to have em smash it, because they dont have same day service at any wrecking yard I've ever been to...
