pics of custom AAR clone project
« on: April 02, 2006 - 03:53:19 PM »
Here are the pics of Carlisle 2005 and AAR hood from yearone which needed alot of work.
Car has been in shop since december. All rust has been removed, dynomat allover, and welded over antenna hole. You can see new color of car on inside of doors and jams.
Car will have custom AAR strobe stripe stencils so stripes can be painted on and then clearcoated over paint.

Good progress!. I'm AAR-clonin' myself. Really like your choise of colour. I have a Year One AAR hood myself. Haven't looked at it that mutch, what kind of work was needed? Was it to get it straigt, or did the scoop and underside need work too? Keep us posted!

The car's looking great, 73Cuda426!!! :grinyes:  I like your choice in rims/tires.  Those tires look like they'd hold to the road quite well.

Alot of waves, but it didn't bow too much on sides as you can see. Minumum of 7 hours to finish this hood right :faint:

The car looks great but to bad about the hood. This is a common problem with them.

Car is painted similar to these pics, except grill is now black. I need opinions on car strobe stripe. I want to know if I should put on custom strobe stripe or not. In the shield it say 426 in place of AAR and says wedge where stars would be. There is a pic under this topic, p. 3 under custom aar logos for john. Should I use ducktail wing and front side spoilers and should they be car color or black? AAR hood will stay car color for now. New pics will be posted soon
Please vote on "to stripe or not to stripe?" thread.
