Do you guys always get pointless race challenges?

We've never run into folks wanting to race us.  People stare, point, smile and give the thumbs up all the time.  Occasionally if we pull up to a light and the folks next to us roll down their window and gawk, we open up the cutouts for them....it's a definate race deterrent and their faces are priceless!

I get the universal tire spinnin' gesture too....too bad I can't even spin my tire with my highway gears!  Oh well...I don't like beating up my car anyway.

There is never going to be a shortage of idiots    Too bad you can't refine them for fossil fuel or something. I get it every once in a while. The Cuda seems to draw them the most. I took it to a show a while back and a guy doing a muscle car calendar asked to photograph the Cuda. He asked a guy parked next to me to move his Z 06 Corvette out of the picture and the guy got all pissed off. He said a 383 Cuda wasn't a muscle car anyway. Later, one guy showed some interest in his car so he fired it up and redlined it in neutral about 5 times til it started blowing some smoke!

back when i had my camaro (69 350/350 auto) all the idiots i went to school with thought they could smoke me in their bone stock 87 camaros  there was, however, one guy with a 71 camaro w/ 383 stroker, and he was ridiculously fast for a guy in high school (11.82 i think was his best time when i knew him) but i never wasted my time with any of those people.  i like my cars too much to wrap them around something.  not to hijack the thread or anything, but i gotta ask:  67vette427, what's the paint code on your cuda?  also, it'd be sweet if you'd post pictures of your vette (i dont think anyone would be mad or anything, especially if you put your cuda next to it in the pics)

  Its GA4... Winchester Gray but the last guy that painted it added some blue/purple tint... I found that out when I had to repaint the hood. I've got the paint specs now after spending a day on color matching if anybody wants it.

I'll post some pictures of the two of them together soon! Right now the Vette is in storage and the Cuda's motor is on the engine stand. I just had it balanced!

There aren`t many local roads around my area where you can line up side by side but there is always somebody telling me to smoke `em up when I cruise the beach.I agree most guys know they don`t have chance and just wanna see what our cars can do.I also agree that street racing is not cool but I nice hard launch and 6,000 second gear shift gets there attention and by then they are in my rearview anyway
