Do you guys always get pointless race challenges?
« on: April 04, 2006 - 12:31:48 AM »
Idk if its just my town or what. But its about weekly i get some idiot trying to race me, by a idiot, i mean driving  a obviously, much...much slower car. Such as a plain new f150, a escort 'gt' tried to run me that one i didnt waste my gas, and a bunch of other various cars. i cant help but  :roflsmiley: at some of these guys. One guy got actually mad  :dunno: It was the 'new f150 guy' kept talkin at the light that his truck runs 13s with a paxton blower, and that i was 'scared' because i wouldnt light the tires at the stop light...yet when he 'powerbraked it you could put a stick in the spokes and stop the tires they were going so slow  :roflsmiley:. i gave him two car lengths from the light and proceeded to wave at him as i passed :bigshades:, after i killed it he did a 'ricer fly-by' and waved back

anybody else get these guys, or is it just me. I've actually been running my cutouts pretty often lately just for the heck of it, so its not like my car sounds like a slant or somethin. must be something it the water  :clueless: :swaying:

Your not only Goody, your not alone. I think it's good, they obviously want to prove something to us because they think our cars would make a good "kill" story, bragging rights is what it's about for them.

Now why would I want to see some bone stock truck try and spin a tire???  :dunno: :screwy:
And of course the wanna be Fast and Furious guys driving there bone stock Hondas with a fart can out the back trying to do something....I'm not really sure what though :clueless:  :roflsmiley:

Maybe your taking SOME of these guys the wrong way. Look at it this way, they are car guys and are acknowledging that you have something special. Their challenge may be just wanting to see your Hot Rod do its thing.  :angelwings:

Yea, i considered that. The F150 guy saw me at the track last night...he, was an idiot. He saw my car, "oh i KNEW you'd be here tonight. Still dont want to sell it?" 'Thats right' "well maybe you should learn how to drive it" 'i DID show you my taillights' and he continued walked along.  :roflsmiley: I have no idea where the 'you should learn how to drive it' comment came from  :screwy:

I do get the international 'light em up' sign language a lot too

Hahaha, I get that about as much as I used to give truckers the "arm pump" to honk their air horn while waiting for the bus.   :roflsmiley:

I won't street race any more, in the last 10 years south Florida traffic has gotten out of control, there seems to be tie ups everyewhere. Just to dangerous.
But I will let the here the motor... :burnout:

I gotta agree on that out here as well. I wont do much more than the occasional 1-2gear getup if that. Just too risky, and forget it if the cops see you. I'll let her rip ona few certain roads though  :grinyes: :burnout:

I've been there and done that, but I think it has to do with age more than anything.  You're young and are around young people, many who don't have a firm grasp of the consequences should you get caught or worse if something goes wrong.  You know what you've got so don't let them egg you on and get you in trouble.  After all, even you think they're idiots.  Don't stoop to there level. There just jealous!  :grinyes:

This is exactly what I tell my 16 year old son when we're out in the Challenger and someone trys to egg me on. It's good training for him about self control because soon he will have a muscle car too and he knows he will loose the car if he drives like a knucklehead. I told him if you want to race I'll take you to the track every Wednesday night on bracket night, if someone wants to race you tell them to meet you there.
