This time around:
1.) I won't use it as a daily driver, but cruise only occasionally
2.) It will have an alarm ASAP, no excuses
3.) It will not leave the premises without full insurance in every respect.
Here is the description they had:
1970 PLYMOUTH CUDA, mini tubbed, dana rear 513 gear, built 440 auto, 727, glass front body no rust, runs drives great, v code 440 six-pack car. sell 9500.00 wont last long
I have doubts as to whether or not it's a factory v code 440 six-pack, of course, because I haven't seen any fender tag or VIN. Whether it is or not, it's a 1970 440 Cuda, which was what I always wanted, not a 318 (again, of course).
To bring this thing back to street legal (or just plain streetable), here's my guess:
Change the Dana gears to 4.10's
Replace windows with glass, not plexiglass or whatever it is
Hook up the front lights
Switch over my dash
Replace the 8-gallon fuel cell with a true gas tank (heh, done that once already)
Change the slicks to tall street tires
I'll wait until the insurance dust settles with my 73 Cuda, and then probably part it out, or see if anyone's interested in the whole numbers matching kaboodle, minus whatever I switch over to the 70 Cuda.
At least that's the game plan at the moment. Life works in funny ways. What do you think? Did I miss anything you know of, or can tell from the pics, for making it street ready?
