Exhausting decisions

 Getting ready to change my dual exhaust. I have added the rear valance with cut outs. I checked the part #s on the exhaust manifolds and the are the 68-69 HP ones, so I plan on having the header pipes bent locally. I don't want anything raddical and would like the noise level stock to moderate. Should I use Accurates' Rear mufflers and tail pipes with the resonators or with out resonators? I do have a pair of stock resonators. I don't want to have too much vibration inside the car at cruising speeds but want it to sound nice when romping on it! Any insight will be of great help.

I would go without the resonators although you will have some noise inside at certain rpm's. With my experience on small blocks the noise is only bad between 1700-2100 rpm. I think the exhaust with the resonators makes the car to quiet.

I have the stock mufflers, H-pipe, without the resonators, behind a mild 440 with 1-7/8 headers. Good sound for cruising aroung.    Remember, e-body resonators are in front, mufflers are at the rear. Don't let anybody tell you different.

 I've decided to have the shop put in a short seperate piece where the resonators go so that if I decide to add them later, I can.
