Ca.? fuel lines
« on: April 09, 2006 - 08:40:03 PM »
Don't know if this is a Ca. only emission fuel feature or not, but what is that black cannister in the fuel line above the fuel pump?

I'm getting ready to bite the bullet and go thru all 3 carbs. Don't want to recontaminate them with rust/crud from the existing lines or gas tank.

Anyone have a Chrysler diagram that show the fuel system with all the vapor lines, cannister etc.at the engine compartment ? I have the one that shows the lines at the tank.

the canister is a vapor separator & is stock , if it is original it could be going bad inside & actually contaminating the carbs , most 6 packs had the canister from the factory

then I want to replace it or service it now.

Is it serviceable/washable ?

If not are they still available?

Thanks C.P.
