I have found myself on more than one occasion needing to fabricate fluid lines to replace old rusty lines. The one thing I could never do was put a bead in the end of a tube to reduce the chance of hose "blow off".
When I worked on airplanes I had used a tool set by Parker that would bead every size aluminum or steel tube all the way down to 1/4". The set was designed for the aircraft industry and worked very well. They are being reproduced by Aircraft Tool Supply and are about $400/set. I happened to find a set on Ebay and picked them up. I am now reminded of how well they work. The case they are in is made of Bakelite and is an antique by itself. Most people wont even know what these are used for. If you see a set at a flea market pick it up. They are bringing over $100+ on Ebay. I will have to snap off a pic of some of my beaded lines!
