small tear in seam repair

i have a 3" tear in the seam of my bottom back seat and wanted to know a good way to repair it without taking the cover off. i want it to hold without it getting worse as i have 2 kids who will sit back there. any help would be appreciated. thanks mike in tn

Not sure if you're interested, but I sewed my small tear. If I can scrounge a pic I'll try to send it later. By no means is it show quality, but it has kept and hasn't gotten any worse, pluse it closed it up and looks much better!

hey rad!
thanks for the reply but since then i have found several places that are rotted in the seam so naturally i had to replace the seat. oh well, i guess we can't win um all. one consolation is that the top is mint. thanks mike in tn
