TRIPLE BLACK 73 CUDA WHATS IT WORTH
« on: April 13, 2006 - 12:30:34 PM »
hello All,
I have an opportunity to purchase a 73 340 a/t CUDA triple black by report, all original with build sheet. Missing engine/trans grill and console otherwise complete/has all parts. Quarters need work 2 new with car, driver floor pan has small rust spot. Otherwise said to be 9 out 10 scale. Owner reports clear tile/keys. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Asking $4000.00

Sounds like a decent deal to me!  Especially if you can get it for $3800 or so!   :bananasmi  Triple black e-bodies are very cool!   :ylsuper:

Sounds like a good deal, but there is almost ALWAYS more rot that what you see! If it is a vinyl top car, you will find rot. Get under the car and look at where the trunk extensions meet the lower quarters...you will find rot. If you see bubbles anywhere in the paint, that is rot.

Now, these cars are old and most all of the original cars will have rot. Not a big deal so long as you can do the metal work yourself. If not, and you want a nice car, you will pay through the nose to have it done right.

Will get more pics and info, he stated the rails were perfect, trunk lid had some rust on the lip, trunk pans are clean, doors have some minor surface rust, hood "perfect", fenders minor rust but repairable. Interior is suposed to be in good shape seats need covers.

uhhh.... :wow:.... that is a 9 out of 10 car....what 9 out of every 10 parts is off the car.

Hey it is likely a very restorable car, and maybe worth the $4000 but a 9 out of 10, nope don't think so.

If you have the time, ability and or money to restore it, I would say buy it!!

That seems a little high for a torn apart '73 with no drive train.

THAT'S a 9 out of 10?  :screwy:  :screwy:  :screwy:
The grill won't be cheap to find... I think I would have to have someone look this car over before I would commit to it.

9 out of 10.... :sly: Hmmm, Lucy must be a 49 out of 50.  :roflsmiley:  Good luck, does seem a little high, I've seen 70's in a little worse shape going for around that figure, maybe a little higher...
