yeah, that sounds bad doesnt it? lol i have a 340 sittin on an engine stand and i do not and will not have the means for a rebuild for quite some time, so i figured i would see if anyone on here would have a better use for it. what i have for sale here is a 71 dated 340 that came out of a roadrunner. on it are a couple of j-heads from a 69 dart. now the engine is bored 40 over. its in good shape and everything, it ran great before i pulled it out of my charger. the only thing wrong with it is a rod bearing has gone out and it needs a ring job (previous owner didnt use fuel additives). this engine is basically complete except for a few things. it is missing...
-carb/intake
-plugs/wires
-water pump/timing chain cover
-crank pulley/fan
other than those things, it is complete with all the goodies inside. it was rebuilt about 7000 miles ago, the previous owner told me. when i had it running, it was a strong runner. no funny idle or anything. i searched around on here and saw that another guy, quite recently, had put up a BARE BLOCK 340 with x-heads for 500 bucks. considering im including more than bare block, i think its reasonable to ask for 500 as well. i need to sell it due to some financial knots im entangled in. and unfortunately, doe to this same problem, i will not be able to transport it to a trucking company for delivery. i live in denton, tx.
*UPDATE* Allright guys, i need to get rid of this and get some cash. im dropping the price from 500 to 375.
