the clowns having fun
« on: April 15, 2006 - 06:07:43 PM »
Hows everybody doing?I hope your all good and have a happy easter.Been really busy with my cars so i havent posted much lately.tranny for the 69 cuda should be ready this week had a guy build the converter for the 904 so i can run a hemi flex plate with 7/16 bolts.just about everything else is ready to install the engine. So i decided to get some frame work started on the challenger and i bought a cheap sheetmetal brake and made the piece that attaches the frame rails just below the tailpanel.and the brake actually works pretty good and for 25 dollars its paid for itself and then some because that part would have cost me 195 dollars from goodmark. The first photo is part of the frame that i cut out and as you can see it had a bit of decay but its now a bit more solid which shows in the second photo and the third photo shows the part that i made on the brake.

We got our Challengers on the same day, but you have made a lot more progress, I don't have the metalworking ability that you have.  Good job, keep the progress pics coming.

thanks guys everything so far has gone real good.been trying to locate some parts to tie the windshield posts to the cowl back together, might have those, but until they are in my hands i cant work on that part of the car.I did score a tailpanel for a very good price.that should be here this week, hope the company that is delivering it doesnt destroy it.will get photos of mine and the one that i bought as soon as its here.and yes i mig weld everything i can but until i get the trunk pans in and the tailpanel here i will have to wait on installing the part i made.but I will keep posting photos as i go.and just remember any of you can do this work too, just take the time and practice, ask questions and practice some more.
