Picked up the two Satellites today....pics and a BONUS!
« on: April 17, 2006 - 06:24:52 PM »
We (my dad and I) picked up the two Satellites today.  We did the parts car first and it went fairly easy.  This car is actually a very solid body!  To bad we don't have a title for it.  Here's the pics of the parts car.....

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Here's the complete car.  We did get the doors open (they were rusted shut in the door latch area).  I think the couple of days letting 2 full cans of liquid wrench set in did the trick.  We didn't have to take the winshield off!  The sad thing is the doors now open and close WAY better than my challenger! :roflsmiley:

Check my other thread (found a stash of parts) for the bonus stuff.   I FOUND A BIG STASH OF MOPAR PARTS!!!!!!!!!!!  And I also don't want to jinx it yet, but I now know where their are 3 more mopars.  2 71's and 1 70.... and one is an e body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And to think how many times I have hung up the phone when the guy on the other end says: "you have been selected to recieve a free satellite....".  I always thought he was talking about TV stuff.  Guess I should have listened to the whole thing like CODY did.........................    :cooldancing:     ....Oldschool

Right now just get the complete car running and fix the floor boards.  It's going to need a new gas tank and lines.  I'll fix the floor boards and maybe replace the interior.  Then drive it for fun for a few years...... then the rotisory will be open for it.  I will take it all the way down and restore it to all original.  Yep, a little 318 satellite nothing, but it will be all original! :swaying:

The parts car it VERY solid.  I'm not sure what to do with it.

Nice score Cody.  What are your plans for them?

Sell it to someone in a state that does not require a title?

Make a racecar?
