This makes me SICK!  Look at this!  A 71 Barracuda Convert.  If I would have stayed in the Marines I could have bought maybe 3 others like this!  This would have been the perfect car for me!  I cant wait till I get back in the service!!!

This is kinda funny...  well it isnt...  I have been emailing this person who has this car to see what the cash price would be?  I talked to my Father about the cash.  Well they have not responded, now the auction just got NUKED (drove up) to $17,000.00 by a bidder with negative feed back.  LOL!!!  I guess it all works out in the end!

IMO,thats too much money for a non-hemi  or 440-6 car , that is a project. verts are cool, but for that price you can get a none vert 318 and put a 440-6 or hemi in it.

Well it all depends on the figure!  I cant get spoted like $20k or anything like that but like the 71 Cuda I missed b4 for $10k that is probly the operating range but all he really said was find out how much they wants for it maybe he would buy it and let it sit till I came up with the money???  Rev thanks for the look out but I hate to ask or imply that I can 100% come thru and here is a story:

Back before I got out of the service and before this site was a twinkle in Rosses eye I posted a watned ad for 71 Barracuda Convert fixer uper and a Member of this board emailed me two different times with two different cars (keep in mind time had passed and I got out of the Marines and was no longer in the hunt due to $$$)  I finaly had to email this guy and let him know that I could not come thru after he had located two different cars!  I felt like a real jerk that I had left the ad out there so now I jsut feel like I abused a good resource and I feel like if I ask for help again I need to have cash in hand!!!  Sorry for long story, Thanks Rev!!!

Best of luck CudaGuy in your search for your "dream Cuda", we'll all keep our eyes and ears open. Man we've all been there at some point in our life, I had to wait nearly 20 years for a particular car either because of availability or $$$$$$$$, and the money part screwed me up 90% of the time. Stay cool and on the hunt, it will happen man!

Thanks guys and gals, I have to say that most everyone here on the board trys to help one another out and I think that is great maybe we can have like an annual meet some where between the U.S. and Canada LOL!!!

Well the cars reserve wasnt met!!!  I emailed the guy and he finaly emailed me back and told me the car would move $17500,  I still think that is a little high I think (if I had the money) the most I would have gone was $15000 oh well i will keep holding my breath!!!

Like I said once the guy found out what the high bid was then rejected the bid from the guy with the negative feed back he was sure to get about 15k or more for the car!!!  He played his position well and tryed to milk every cent out of it!!!  But I dont blame him!!!  

I agree we would have went togeather like "Peas & Carrots"!!!
