hey shellbydog, i measured my exhaust, at the lowest point it measured  6 1/2 in. and that is the elbow bend behind the tranny mount.and the mufflers are also 6 1/2 inches,  from the ground but it does not look that low to have any ground clearance problems. I kept it close to the floor boards as possible. ALL I COULD SAY IT IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!

I installed the 2.5" X-pipe system a few months ago and a H-pipe system a few years ago on my other Challenger, headers to tips. Both systems INCLUDED the hangers so I would have them send you the hangers for free. Also the system I just installed is used with the Keisler 5-spd and TTI already knew I needed 6* offset collectors to make it work correctly.
Thanks for the offer but I think it is the hanger mount that I am missing as the system did come with the hanger.

I'll have a shot at getting the system in tomorrow so we'll see how "bolt in" it is although it looks pretty nice laying on the floor.  I'll make some sort of hanger for the right side and bolt it in.  It looks like the existing right side hange is on the shock side (versus seat side) of the car. As for the tips, perhaps I can get an exhaust shop to make 2 1/2" bends for them.  The TTI tips are $279.

That's good to know Todd. My friend had it for about a year and a half before he had me install them. Sam Davis@ TTI worked with him to get me the correct header adapters. Keep in mind that the flange can be turned to point the adapters away from the ground.  Here are the 3" pics from TTI.

Matt only the factory dual exhaust cars had an extra hangar mount that was added after on the drivers side. I have an extra or you can buy new ones from year one. There are dimples on the floor pan under the back seat where the holes have to be drilled to install.

The right mount is welded to the floor pan, the left one bolted in

My next purchase will be a new TTI exhaust. Who did you purchase your system from. Where is a good place to order x-pipes  including chrome tips.

You can get the system with or without tips and with either an H-pipe or X-pipe from a TTI distrubutor.  I've had my 2.5" H-pipe system for a couple years now.  I ordered mine with dynomax mufflers and had the tips already welded to the tailpipes.  It installed fairly easy.

Mancini Racing is about the best distributor as far as the tti exhaust, they are all about the same as far a price goes, some may quote you a cheaper price on the system but you'll pay the difference in shipping.

I bought 2.5" system for my Challenger and for some reason the header on passenger side rubbed against the top of the idler arm...had to ding header.  Hope I have idler correct arm.

I got mine from Mancini.  They seem pretty good to deal with.

I've got the system half in after modifing the right bracket and fabricating up the left (it's just a muffler hanger after all).  I wish the system had come with instructions as it might have saved some time.  It looks like it will fit very nicely after getting the x -pipe the right way up.

Well,  I've got the system in but it seems to me that the system hangs awfully low around the transmission cross member.  It looks like the position of the headers controls how tight the system is to the humps in the crossmember.  There must be a 3" gap there as can be seen from the pics.  Any ideas on what to do or does it look alright?

Matt, THOSE ARE TOO LOW.   Call Sam Davis at TTI and explain that he sent some angled collector adaptors to Brian Tate in MO. last October, because his installer (ME, ROB) Couldn't get the exhaust close to the floor like in those pics that he sent us. AND that you also need a set.    The new pieces were about 12" long, that I cut down to match the length.

I must have the same problem with the pipes too low?
thought the same as Matt did thinking the headers are where
they are - not by choice - and the pipes made by TTI should be a match?

Do they use the same headers for a B and RB engine?  The TTI headers that I installed were on a 440 and I had the same problem. That's why he called TTI.  There isn't much room for adjusting, since the X pipe can only go on one way due to the angles.  If your exhaust doesn't look close to pic # 1 above, CALL SAM@TTI. Tell him that you need those angled collector adapters.
