The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

They aren't interchangeable. They are 2 different blocks.

No, I believe it's a 67 or 68 4 Bbl. Painted blue.

Just what I was told by the previous owner. Also, have a pic of the engine block it came with. I have to leave for wk. right now so I will find it this evening and post the block picture.
Haven't decided how much yet so make an offer.

 :grinyes:

To confuse you  a bit more a 440 manifold will not fit a 383, but a 383 manifold can be made to fit a 440...with some adaptor plates!   :swaying:

As far as I know, this is the original block that the manifold came with. I will try to get pics of the manifold later. Right now, my Digital camara is broken because of yours truly not being careful.
:pullinghair:  Replacing the camara or repairing it is a priority and I'll get pics to you if you are still interested. BTW, lets do this from here on out by way of PM or E mail.

An RB (440) manifold will fit on a B (383) motor if you use the MP stage 6 heads.  :2cents:

With stock heads you're limited to a standard 383-400 intake manifold. Generally, the 69-70 manifolds offer the best performance and are the most desirable. If you're looking for an upgrade that looks stock, the edelbrock dp4b is an excellent street manifold made of aluminum and can be painted to look "factory". These were sold over the counter years ago by Mopar under the "direct connection" performance program which was subsequently replaced by Mopar Performance. I've seen a few examples of the dp4b that even had a Direct Connection part # cast onto the manifold.

Check E-bay, swap meets etc....because these are no longer in production. You should be able to get one for $100.00 or less if you're so inclined.

So if I were to sell it, what would be a fair asking price for mine? Looks just like the other one.

Not less than $50 i'd think. I recently bought a 70 440 bare intake in nice clean shape for $61 plus $24 shipping off ebay. I felt that was a pretty fair deal plus it was dated about a week before my R/T SE was built
