I won't be taking any long trips in the challey this year. It's hard to constantly keep my foot out of the SIX-PACK, and with 1350 cfm's sucking down the gas you can actually watch the fuel gauge drop. :eek2: A few close car shows and a nice place to park and b.s.. :grinyes:

:iagree: Yep, it will definatley put a "fun crunch" on our anticipated summer of fun, we'll just have to choose wich of the three we take out once in a while, oh well, nothing we can actually do except b!tch about it, and I guess it will keep some miles off the old Mopars. And we thought just our cars and parts were expensive, now...............Mopar magnum muscle + gas = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Hell, you'd think we ought to get used to it by now.  :villagers:  :roflsmiley:

Yup the 400 million was his retirement package. His annual salary was 51 million/year. Kinda makes me want to  :puke:
If I had that job for 2 weeks, I would be set for life. 2 weeks of "I'll get back to you on that one.  :misbehaving:

It`ll just keep going up and with an oil man in the white house it`ll be another 2 years before anything political will happen to help things.Just paid $2.99 here for 89 octane.

Don't push too hard for a tax on the oil company profits...they'll just add it on to what we pay at the pump!
Then our government will take it and squander it as usual !~ :villagers:

Why is it that while gas skyrockets motor oil is relatively cheaper than ever? 30 years ago a quart of good grade/brand oil was close to two dollars, today not much different. CONSPIRACY!  :villagers:

I beleive that the spike in price over the last few years is a plan to socially engineer the country in to being less dependant on foreign sources of energy.

Look at the last 40 years... when fuel prices are low...people buy the huge gas guzzlers (eg Musclecars and SUV now a days) Those big vehicles burn a lot of product, increasing demand and driving the price higher and higher over time.

Over the last couple years people are starting to look at smaller, more fuel efficent vehicles. I couldnt give my R/T Durango away last year.

If the prices keep rising we are going to start demanding more fuel efficient vehicles.  Over time these vehicles that burn less product will reduce demand and bring the price back down.

I dont know if this is just another cycle of capitalism or if the changes will be permanent this time around. I do see a ton of ethanol plants popping up around here as well as windmill generator farms. This wouldnt be happening if gas was $1 a gallon. We'd all say.. "F" it dude, lets go bowling.

We're all a bunch of dumb monkeys. Be us repub, dem, conservative, hippie, whatever. we're not going to stop using oil unless it comes down to $$$.

It does suck and I feel bad for anyone who cant afford other nessecities due to this but my gut feeling right now is this is all precisely planned to get us off oil.

I could be wrong though.

What measurment do you guys in US gauge gas prices to (litre, US(dry), US(liquid)) So us brits and NZ guys know. As a USdry=4.405litres, USliquid=3.785litres, and so as you know a UK gallon=4.546

Gas price in UK will hit £1/ litre soon ($1.75), i filled up last week (and got discount) for £55 (yup just shy of $100)

:( and where i live we don't pay sales tax at 17.5% like the UK Mainland

:pullinghair:  :banghead: Well PERSONALLY I don't give a sh!t what gas cost around the world ! What I care about is what it cost down the street where I buy it. And there is absolutely no reason for it to go up over 30% each month for the last three months ! Crude has went up - Yes, but not by those figures !  The gas market prices can be influenced by many things such as supply and demand and transportation cost ( getting the gas to your country/neighborhood etc. ) but to just have these kind of increases we here in the US have experienced is totally unfounded. Case in point: Rev. a few threads back said regular in the Atlanta area was $2.88 I beleive, the same as it is here where I live. Now tell me how can  the supply and demand theory create the same price? Atlanta area just has a few million people, my lil community maybe has 6-7 thousand people. We must use a lot of gas here ?
