It sounds like drain back.( Is it both forward and reverse?) The converter drains down when it sits and gets full of air and then it has to fill up again after you start it. (after you you take it out of park if it doesn't have the TransGo Shift Kit) Pump bushing to converter hub clearance can effect this drain back and maybe the last bushing has more clearance?

Yes, both forward & reverse, and no TransGo shift kit. I have no idea about bushing clearance, where would you start?

hmm. I was wondering and surfing through net but didn't find any good answer. Whats the difference between transgo tf-sc and for example tf-2? Is the tf-sc milder and less reprogramming kit than tf-(1 or 2)?

Yes , the TF-2 gives you more gear control (you can hold it in manual low and it will not up shift no matter what) .The TF-1 is really all you need if you know what to do extra on your own.

This series will allow you to make your Torqueflite work the way you want it to and increase your knowledge of what is going on inside it!

Darn Terry,  I was going to print out your tips to file but didn't because I knew they would be here. Now all of the pics are gone. Do you have a website or FTP that you have all of you pics on? Did you save your old posts with the Pics?

Hopefully that will get "fixed" before a "new pic cleaning" happens. :dunno:

hey transtacman,

I was wondering if it`s possible to get the pics back on... this is a wonderful topic, but it`s a little difficult to understand without the pics  :clueless:
or maybe you have some other good advice for me to learn a little more about my 727... I usually learn from breaking stuff, but I never thrashed a tranny.
don`t want to either... :misbehaving:

thanks,
Bart

You have to be a real animal to break a 727. This is one of the cars we used to run with a 727 that actually had weight machined off some of the parts> http://streetwalker.homestead.com/files/RRLR1.wmv
Once we had Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope & Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama, No Hope and No Cash!
