HELP PLEAESE!! Losing my NYS drivers license

hi,

i got a notification today that my license will be revoked because i commited 3 speeding charges within 18 monthes. They say that i am eligible for a restricted use license. I will also not be able to have a commerical drivers licences during this time. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that might have had this happen to them before, or possibly got out of it or are in a position in which they might help me from losing it.

Have you talked to an attorney? It may not help but worth the phone call.

Maybe Slow down in the last 18 months. 
Doesn't sound like there's a lot you can do mate.....law is law.

i know it includes driving to work, but i hope theres a few other rules too, especially since i will be living by myself i will need to get to the store from time to time. i'll find out tommorow, need to visit the DMV and maybe talk to an attorney

Hard to argue with the law! I don't like real high speeds, just short, OUICK bursts. Must be the ex-drag racer in me.

Sorry to hear that 68A!  I hate to think of your car insurance bill    Worst case, you can always get a bike to get to the store and back...we might all be in this situation if the gas prices don't stop going up!

Well you did do it,  being a Retired Police Officer I wouldn't talk to an  Attorney that is a waste of your money just do the time and save your money, and has far has going to the store, try going to the store either while you are going to work or while you are coming home from work  :burnout:that the best I can tell you since I don't know New York Laws Just Maine  also I would keep my foot out of the gas  :burnout:and pay attention to your driving and slow down  and you have learn you lesson, Little Grasshopper. Hope you have a buddy that can take you to the store on weekend if you need anything  Good Luck

68a,  Get to an Attorney right away,  He has to AMMEND some of those prior guilty pleas and get the charge changed to a non-moving violation. It'll cost you, but you should have had them all "fixed" as you got them.

I don't get them much anymore, but I get them all fixed to keep them off of my record for the insurance.
