Im not huge on where the tach is now. I want it at the a-pillar/dashpad but those moldings are SO expensive and im NOT drilling into mine

Thanks  I just had to take out the rings that are behind the gauges that the stockers sit on. so that i could use those little mounting deals that come with the gauges

That setup looks GREAT Mike!!!  How difficult was wiring everything?  Did you use the leads from the factory setup or did you run all new?  Also, is the speedo electric or mechanical?

The gauges in the dash look great Goody!  But, I'm with you on the tach...there's just not a good place to put it, is there?

I've had a 3" tach under the light hood for years.  Worked great since my 4th guage was blank.  I think it could still work with a guage behind it as long as it wasn't one that needed constant monitoring. He put the fuel guage there and that's probably the one I look at least (except when I'm being stupid and trying to see how far one tank will actually go!)

Ugh....wiring.... Well it wasn't too bad just very time consuming. The Turn Signal leds, ebrake/brake psi, high beam, and dash light wiring was very easily. As soon as you pull the old cluster...its all right there and I just used some tap splices on there and didnt hurt the original wiring. The speedo is mechanical and is just running a speedo from a c-body if i remember right. It has a threaded end at the speedometer that hooks right up.

Yep, 2 5/8" gauges pushed in through the front and mounted from the back. The warning lights I got from radio shack. They are 1/2", push in, and they sit right in the factory little 'bezel' around those holes. Looks much better than i thought it would. I have three extra now since you have to buy em in pairs  . The warning lights are for highbeams, brake psi/ebrake, and my linelock

Wow, Looks great.    I'm almost tempted to replace my rallye gauges with those. (Since I have 4 or 5 non rallye clusters).  Only thing I would do different is possibly use VDO guages as I don't care for autometers.

Hard to get a good picture of the lighting, got my matching green LEDs for the Tach and Speedo. The gauges themselves light green, and the stock green lights shine on them as well. look sweet at night
