Mopar Wanted, different types
« on: March 26, 2003 - 12:53:11 AM »
yup, you read correctly. I am currently on the hunt for any of the following:

68-69 Barracuda Fastback
68-72 Dodge Dart
71-72 Dodge Demon
70-74 Dodge Challenger or Plymouth Cuda

Yes, i did leave my options open, hopefully this will bring more cars to the podium  ;D

I would prefer these cars to have a 4-spd, although if it's the right car, i will accept a manual. I would also prefer them with a 318 or a 340, larger or smaller will be considered. Here is the tough part, floors, trunk, body all must be solid, car must be driveable with no, or very little work. All this for around the sum of $2000 Canadian give or take. Prefer car to be around Saskatchewan area in Canada, may travel to see car.

Thanks all,
Mike

good luck with the hunt,

but you did put in a big order. i have over 2000.00 in just a rebuild of a engine. and thats just a cam upgrade. (just parts, gaskets)

please don't take it the wrong way. just keep saving your money while you(we) look, you'll find your car.

ya, i know it may be a big order to fill, but im just lookin for a daily driver type of car, and up here in Saskatchewan, there are a lot of muscle cars that don't go for a lot of money.  ive seen a couple 68 or 69 barracuda fastbacks with 318's go for around 1000-1500 bucks, i only wish i had enough money for them then.

Besides, im not in that big of a rush just yet anyway.  i will continue to save up my pennies ::)

Too bad you aren't looking for a car to restore. :(  I have a 74 Challenger but it needs full restoration and I am in Sask Canada.

Thanks for all the offers guys, but I just bought my first car yesterday!  ;D The only downside is it isn't a Mopar, but it is still a head turner.  I have bought a 1969 VW Beetle, and all I have to do is pick it up.  I will post pictures of it once i get some.

Dont worry, I still love Mopars, I just don't love gas prices right now and I dont have the money for the Mopar I would love to own.

 ;) Hey nickextreme,
I can't wait to hear about this since there were no 72 convertibles. Maybe this was a 70 or 71 ? Anyway, the car sounds great. Look forward to the pictures.
