72 Black Tail Panel??
« on: April 25, 2006 - 04:06:53 PM »
I know on the Camaros that a black tail panel represented a big block car.  How does that work with the 72?  My 72's tail panel looks to be a flat black, that right?

They were either black, or argent silver. The black was probably the "Rally" package. Meaning it had a 340 engine. This is just an educated guess on my part though.  :dunno:

MEK's correct.  The Rallye packages received the blacked out taillight panel, while the standard cars had the silver argent panel.  As for only 340 cars, I've seen 318 Rallye cars with the same black treatment.
