Say a prayer.
« on: April 25, 2006 - 04:15:50 PM »
Today we lost a very beloved family member. Minnie had her nighly meal last night and shortly after collapsed. We took her to the emergency vet and they tried for several hours to stabilize her without sucess. She died around 1am this morning.  Please say a prayer for her.
I have known this feline friend for the past 14 years. She was my wifes constant companion for the past 16 years.
She will be missed.

Very sad.  It's so very hard to say goodbye. :angelwings:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Very sad indeed. My kitty "Spooky"  has been a friend of mine for several years and she was pretty old when we got her. I am not looking foward to that day...

Sorry about that TC

Pets are a part of the family!  I think we all have been there at one point of our lives!  Time will help with the pain.   :drunk:

It's always sad, a couple years ago we lost our "boy" of 14 years, we love most all animals, but cats are special to us. We understand your feelings now and know it will be difficult not seeing her every day. Take care.

I am so sorry that you and your wife lost Minnie.  She looked very happy in the picture you posted of her. I am sure she was very happy to be so loved!

Thank you all for your kindness and prayers. There is truly a void in the house without our Minnie. She loved to sit and soak up the sun.
This may seam strange to some but the reason I'm posting this information is so that when others loose a precious animal they may do the same as we have choosen for Minnnie. She will return to us in about 6 months in a pose that we have selected and Friends Forever will place her in as they begin a freeze drying procedure. It is  hard to let her go and she will return to us in a somewhat altered state but we will still be able to see her in her favorite place in the house soaking up the rays.

Missed this thread Tropical. Sorry to hear. Looked like a wonderful little friend you had. I was always a big fan of dogs. But when I got the cat we have now,  I can relate a lot more now to how they can grow on you. He is one of my best friends.

I'm very sorry to hear about your beloved pet, hang in there, I know it's rough and it's going to be rough for quite some time, we are all thinking of you.
