Drilled and slotted rotors
« on: April 27, 2006 - 09:14:54 PM »
I just bought some for my 71 Challenger and was wondering if the slots have to go a certain way? I'm sure they do but does anyone have a pic?

I don't have any pic's, but the slots should be turning to the front at the top of the rotor.  That is, looking at the face of the rotor, the slots on the top half of the rotor should point forward.  Confusing without pic's, I know, but I hope this helps.

The slots should be facing the same way the wheel will be turning when you are driving, so that the gases escape. They should be facing the front of the car unless you are primarily going to drive in reverse, in which case you can turn them around

Still confused. :clueless: I have 2 saying the top should be pointed toward the front and 1 pic shows it turning away unless I misunderstand.
