Added A Couple More Challengers To The Stable Today!
« on: May 02, 2006 - 01:37:42 AM »
They aren't much to brag about (2 1973 318 auto cars with no drive trains) but heck, how often do you find a couple decent E-body projects within 50 miles of home these days?

The fender flared toad is a factory FE5 car, the green one has the nicest body I've seen in a LONG while, it looks much better than the pics would let on, perfect floors, perfect OEM trunk floor, no rust or bondo in the quarters, doors or fenders, etc.

Great finds!  :woohoo:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Very nice score, Scott!!! :grinyes:  After checking out several other '73 Challenger broadcast sheets, I still am amazed at the stuff that came on my '73 and yet the original owner opted to NOT get the 340, but nearly everything else, sans Rallye gauges, is what you'd expect to have on a Rallye package car. :pullinghair:

Anyways, what are your plans for these two rides?  They both look very solid, so I couldn't imagine you'd use either of them for just parts.

I have 3 projects already so these will probably find new owners. I wasn't really looking for them, I put a sign on my 71 which is sitting on my car trailer in my driveway on a busy street "Parts Wanted" and this guy stops by and asked me if I wanted two more of them.....I had a weak "car collector" moment and decided to go ahead and get them

Good thing you had that sign in your car so these two could be saved for hopefully restoration projects for whoever you sell them to.

Oh, I didn't mention? A passenger side 1970/71 fender came with them.........And it's NOS!

Which brings me to ask.......

Other than the side marker lights, what were the differences between the 70-74 Challenger fenders? I'm sort of a newbie when it comes to 70-74 Challenger body part interchanges.

Headlight bucket area, side marker light area, notch in the under hood area, bracket and hole to mount to core support.  I believe I am missing something.  I wouldn't convert the 71 fender to 73 if that is what you are thinking.  It is a more valuable fender.  If you would like to sell it let me know.  Thanks.
