    checking to see if anyone is doing a 5.7 hemi swap-?

    if so are there any threads that share some info about the wiring issue's using
    the factory harness?

    *so far I have the starter circuit wired in as a mock up by passing
    the ignition switch and its cranking.

    have my gas system installed with good presure to the injectors.

    while cranking so far I have no spark?
    have my 02 sensors in the headers connected to the outgoing jacks.
    engine harness all together. did I miss a pin or jack to wire in someplace?
    hoping someone will chime in with some idea's-

    Dude,

    go on moparts webboard and do a search for 5.7L hemi swap, And you will find a ton of info.

    im on that board and check it often. im getting some help.
    just need to review the diagrams to find out which pin wires I need
    to tap into I think.

    what kind of gas mileage results are people getting with these applications swapped into E and B Bodies ?

    hi robb,

    so far without mine on the road yet I cant say. my guess is it will be at the least the same as any other modern vehicle with that motor in it. actually it should be even better because these older cars are much lighter in weight.
    a durango I think is 6600 lbs, the ram truck is 5600 lbs. so with my 70 barracuda should weight in 3400 apx +/- 200 lbs. not to mention how much faster she should be!

    if the ram truck is 16 sec at the track, does anyone know what the apx. ratio's would be per 1000 lbs vrs ?
    I thought someone last year said they did upper 12's with a challenger and stock 5.7 hemi combo-?

    I've been driving mine for about a month,if I could keep my foot out of it I think it's getting about  18 mpg.It made 373 rear wheel horse power,with an automatic and a loose converter,should be about 450 at the crank.If I could ever get it to hook up ,it feels like mid to low 12's with out any problem   http://mysite.verizon.net/ls6ron/

    man 18 is much better than my 440 used to get 10 -

    have you tried on cement or asphalt to get her to hook?

    really like the way your car turned out!

    Im hopefull later to do something like youve done with the disk brakes and front suspention system. right now im all stock front to back except the drivetrain. just want to see how she performs before the swap out. also tapped out of funds. as you know once on the road with excitement somehow your pocket book will open up!

    That site was great, im just into to put a 5.7L in mine and i havent even started with the electrical stuff get, im more waiting to get hold of the carbintake or i will have one made otherwise its a new harness and computer and throw the one i have. Really cool that more and more people try this swap(not just the customshops), im the first in Sweden with mine what i now about...

    Is it possible to go with a regular carb/intake setup on a 5.7?  If so, what are the factors to consider?

    At the moment they dont sell the carbintake its just on the Cratemotors, i guess they wanna make some money on the crates before letting the carbintake out on the market....
