    70 Challenger R/T color help

    I am purchasing a 70 Challenger R/T with the intention of reselling it.  It is originally burnt orange with black stripes.  I am thinking
    of going Rallye Red with black stripes.  What do you think will sell better?  Red or Burnt Orange.  Thank you for your input.

    I personal like the burnt orange, its not so common. Just my opinion. Of course you could paint it citreon yella. LOL

    Maybe sell it "as is" and let the new owner decide on restoring it back to original or changing the color?  :dunno:

    I don't think I can get as much out of it without painting it.  It is nearly a rust free car.  It mainly  needs paint and interior.  Otherwise I would just sell it as is.

    When in doubt go with a high impact color. Those cars alway grab eveybodies eye.

    If it retains it's original engine and trans repaint it it's original color.
    I'm not a big fan of seeing these cars flung around willy nilly for the name of $$$.

    It is numbers matching.  Probably easier to go with the original paint.

    I would leave it as is. The buyer may not like the original color, or the new one you decide to paint it!  I am always leary of shiny new paint myself.

    My opinion, numbers matching = repaint original color.  Any documentation with the car - build sheet or fender tags?

    I agree, if it is almost rust free, then by all means sell it as is. I personally would give more money NOT to have it freshly painted, especially if you are putting a cheap paint job for a quick sell.

    if the car really is nice and correct, no one would want a cheap "resale red" paint job on it.....make it correct or better yet, just leave it alone and let the buyer make the decision....cars with fast paint jobs make me want to run away, fast....
