Moparnut, this happened to me too.  Thank goodness I didn't respond to the email, I sent the email to EBay security and they took care of it.

Thanks for the info!

Just curious, do you have the senders address so we know who to look out for?  I'm not quite sure if I got an email regarding Ebay but may have so that way I can scan for the sender address.

Thanks!

The one that got me GOOOD was a Challenger ad with a nice babe next to it. Of course I clicked on the pic to get a better view of the scenery, but then I got a link asking me to log in to E-bay. Of course I did, since this babe was all I wanted to see.  :banghead: I never did see a bigger picture of the girl.  :stomp:  :stomp:  :stomp: I immediatley changed my password on E-Bay. No problems since. I still dream about that babe though.

Rats, I'm one of the wingnuts who fell for it!  The fraud emails look so good with the ebay logo and all.  Once I signed in, they managed to tap into my Paypal account and then cleaned out my checking account of $4k!  Good thing my bank was able to reverse the charges, so I got my money back!  I got lucky.  Everyone, be sure to heed the warnings given above.  These scammers are trying to take advantage of our desire to get at them and in the end, they get us!
