NOS 72 73 74 Challenger header panel/ grill
« on: May 03, 2006 - 04:21:57 PM »
I have a NOS Challenger header panel/ grill.  I acquired it from an auction and don't know what it is worth or much about it.  All I know is it has never been mounted, and it is in excellent condition. I would appreciate any and all information on this. I have a lot of pictures and a part number of 3574132/ 42329.

That's worth alot. I can't give you a figure, but they aren't popping up on E-Bay. Can you possibly post a picture here? If you can't figure out how, you can E-Mail me the picture(s) and I'll do it for you.

If it has the chrome molding that surrounds the grille, that entire assembly is probably worth $450-500.00 as a complete assembly.  Nice ones on eBay usually don't top $300 and the typical broken surround goes for up to about $150 max (though I'm looking at one now for just $26) so that's my reasoning behind this.  It'd be different if it was a 'Cuda grille, but $450-500 is still considered a LOT for a '72-'74 Challenger part.  I'll wait on the pics and let you know what I think after I see them, too.

Thanks for looking!!!!!
Is there anyone out there that knows what this might be worth.  I understand one in the crate that may or my not have been mounted before was $450.00.  Would one that has never even had a trim ring mounted on be worth more? Where can I find information, or a general idea of what to sell this for.  I thought this might be the best medium to get an idea, I would hate to give it away on ebay  :ebay: but I know someone needs this.  Please help :feedback:

Welcome aboard!  Love to help but I'm not that good with the challenger parts pricing.  Hope you get what you're looking for!

Is anyone interested in this item before it goes on eBay next week? I'm in south WI and I don't want to ship due to the fragility, However I may be able to deliver to NIAGARA 06 (Buffalo, NY 6/24-25)  :working:

Yep, just use the "NOS" in your ad, and you should do well. I have never seen one on E-Bay in that condition, so it would be a fun auction to watch.  :grinyes: If you are afraid of packing it up, there are places that can do that for you. Here we have a UPS store, and a FedEx/Kinko's, where they will package and ship your item for you. Sure it will cost you some, but maybe state in your ad an additional $40 for crating if not picked up, or whatever it is. When you are talking about a big ticket item like this, I don't think someone would balk at paying a crating fee. I'm sure they would want it in one piece.
