Hey i am getin mt car sandblasted in a couple days. the underneath and everything. When i get back i was told that i need to put somethin on the bottom(ASAP) to keep it from rusting and also to kepp the dirt off it. What is good to paint the bottom(underneath) with

Actually I believe you need to ETCH the whole car right after blasting as it is bare metal at that point!  Sound like you are making progress!  COOL!

If I understand etching right, the next and most important thing to do is POR-15 it, at least 2 coats, and then apply an undercarriage coating like truck bed liner.  Nothing should get through that combo.

If you want to over-do it, apply the epoxy primer then paint it body color.  The body will probably keep from rusting for three days max, but will increase anywhere you touch it. (even with gloves on it still creates surface rusty hand prints. )  Mine was expoxy coated and the areas I don't have painted yet still aren't showing signs of rusting. (it's been three years now)

It's very risky having a car sandblasted. The pressure and constant peening of the sand against the sheetmetal, especially on these low crown body panels can easily stretch the metal causing severe stretching and warping.

If you are dead set on having it done though, your best approach is to coat it with epoxy primer asap. Etch primers are not recommended on bare metal surfaces due to acid entrapment. Epoxy can be sprayed direct with now problems.

It would be best to sand the exterior surfaces with 80 grit on a DA prior to priming.

That's the primer I meant to state earlier; not etching primer.  As stated, I too went through and sanded the sheetmetal and used a wire wheel on the underbody after being blasted just to get it back to roughed up shiny metal.

Have it media blasted and lay either zero-rust or DP40. Scrape any undercoating off prior to having the car blasted.

I had the my car blasted, laid three coats of zero-rust down, scuffed, and laid on Gator Guard II truck bed liner.

What steve said.... DP40 or any of the PPG's DP epoxy series.  40 or 50 or what ever is closest to the body color.
