Looks like you don't have sure-grip...  ::) ;D ;D ;D Don't feel bad man... I love doing 1 wheeled burnouts too!!!! It's a great accomplishment to be able to make the rear end disappear with 1 wheel!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D Great car...

i dunno what the deal is, the car has a posi rear, shouldnt both tires hook up? can the wrong gear oil make only 1 tire hook?

id definitely look into that.  if its a "Sure Grip" limited slip diff both tires should be spinning there.  i really doubt oil would cause only one to spin.  are you sure you have a limited slip?

someone could probably give a more techinical definition then i could, but it keeps the wheels spinning in synchronous.  if your not sure you have it, judging by the pics i would say you dont.  it helps traction and handling, worth getting if you dont have it.

Limited slip/Sure-grip: Special gearing keeps both tires spinning versus 1 when traction is lost.... soooo... if you can break one tire loose, you've got both going!!!  :D :D :D :D

If you have a sure grip , both tires "should' spin  however 30 year old cone style sure grips tend to wear out allowing the cone to bottom out allowing the diff to lock sometimes & not others , if you jack up the diff & spin 1 tire , in neutral, & the other tire rotates the same direction   you have a sure grip  ;)

Yeah thats what i thought. i remember jackin it up and both tires spun in same direction, so maybe the diff just didnt lock when i was layin down patches in those pics. its possible, cuz when i usually lay one down i get two rubber trails, not one! but it was such a long time ago that i jacked the rear up and spun the tire, i have a bad memory, only one way to find out.......hope its not raining this weekend!

Limited slip\sure grip.... newer ones have clutch discs that when one tire starts to spin the clutchs kick the other side in so to speak.  no for dog leg well thats just when one tire spins like in the picture.  posi is where there is a spool that conects the to axles and will allow no slipping what so ever its a live axle like on a racing 4 wheeler or something.  hope that clears somethings up.

DogLeg is what they call the differential when it has the spidergears.  The tire with less traction is the one that spins.  Thats called dogleg.  Does that help... i know what it is but i just can't really explain it.

Hey, shouldn't the passenger tire be spinning instead of the drivers tire?
Every burnout I've done /w peg-leggers I always spin the pass. side.
Something to do with the engine rotation and the torque planting the drivers side down and lifting the pass. side.

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong... ;) I'm still fairly new to all this, ya know?
