« on: May 06, 2006 - 08:03:20 PM »
my friend lou was doing my tranny for me called at 11 am this morning and said it was all set.went and picked that up,came home bolted that up to the engine and dropped the whole thing into the 69 cuda.so its official she is now a 360 hensly 904 with low 1st and 2nd gear and a few other tricks added and an 83/4 with 355s.no #s match here but what the hell cant wait to fire this thing up.its been seven long years since its roamed the streets.

NZ she's a fastback, was a 318,904,7 1/4 rear. Now has a 360 904 and the 8 3/4 with 355s.was green with a white interior and now its red with a red and black interior.still need to squirt the final paint but thats gonna have to wait cause i cant take it anymore all this work and no fun makes the clown crazy.plus i promised my best buddy(tristan my son) that we would drive this car this summer.

Looks like it won't be much longer before you have her out roaming the street looking for victims.

Nice car Clown! I have to ask though, is the 360 balanced to use the original 904 converter? Or did you move the weights, or use the 360 converter? Have to fix it now before you get in deep.

good question because at first i was gonna use a B@M flexplate but my friend lou,he's the guy that did the tranny had a converter built and balanced for me.But if any of you guy's know any other problems that i could run into please let me know.I had my radiator recored which is great but found that the water pump outlet is on the opposite side,oh well live and learn.

well i ran into a few more bumps in the road, was putting the power steering pump back in and guess what the 360 water pump has no mounting area on it for the pump.and the other side where the alternator goes is also different, but i started making new brackets.when i get them done i'll post some photos for you all to see.
