Don't let that hood latch hook go too deep. It's kinda shaped like a fish hook. You'll have to call for help because you can't get off of it.

As far as trunk rods. My '70 Challenger has 2 rods, one on each side.  My '72 Cuda and '74 Challenger only have one rod on the passenger side. I have so much more torsional adjustment with the 2 rod model.  Maybe you can add a second one if you got stuck with the single.

That's nice deputy. what's the compressed and extended lenght of that gas strut?
I mounted my power antenna in the same spot.....  T/A Style..       A Black Mast looks better than a stainless mast.

Didn't think of mounting it at hinge pivot point.  Do you have PN or info on strut you used?
