There is a TnT next friday that i mayyyyy try and go to. I have my battery in the trunk with no kill switch at the back of the car and their tech is much more serious. The open street races they have, 'Tech' is pretty much four wheels and a steering wheel..ive yet to pop my hood for 'tech' there lol

I'll keep ya posted. im dyin to run

welp, im going to deal with the outrageous ricer crowd tonight and try and run  :villagers: hundreds of stupid ricers lining up to run 'their 12second cars' that pull 16+'s  :woo:. I'll have to put some soy sauce in my tank for all the rice the 'ol barracuda will be eating tonight  :swaying:

anyway, the density altitude for last night was 5,200 feet  :eek4:, last time i ran it was 3,600. So if tonight is similar to last night....thats what i'm up against  :banghead:. I'll give it a shot anyway, more track time can hurt either  :cooldancing:

Welp, i ended up killing mr. V8 killer and his nissan  :roflsmiley: Long story short...well kinda, i was the first in line. Then up shows three ricer guys in three riced out cars. One of them, the one next to me was a 240SX Nissan, turbocharged. I'm up at the gate watching the TnT racing going on as they look over my car. So when i go back to my car i see he has written 'V8 Killer' out of the dirt on his back glass and swapped for some drag radials  :roflsmiley:. I asked what it ran, he came back with 14.8 'but now i got more boost and sticky tires'...he's gonna need a littttllee more than that to beat my 'big ol' 318 . So between registering and tech he ends up one pair of cars behind me. He talks to the guy next to me that he wants to run me, so they trade spots...... :grinyes: 'lets go'  :sly:

So we do our burnouts, and line 'em up  :jumping: Light turns green and he just got smaller from there  pulled a 14.3 and he rana 15.1. So he wanted to go again...eh, fine with me. Rana 14.4 and he pulled a 15.7!  :roflsmiley: So much for being a V8 killer, it was then taken off his window after that. I guess maybe a V8 F150 killer...but notta 318  :bricks1:

anyway, track times. My previous best was 14.391 @ 95.03 MPH. The D/A was 3,200feet for that night. Last night I rana 14.300 @ 96.14MPH  at 5,100 D/A. So the slip doesnt show much, but the conditions are what showed the gain....

Corrected E/Ts & MPHs for sealevel..

14.391 @ 95.03 MPH @ 3,200ft turns into - 13.83 @ 98.9
14.300 @ 96.14 (last night) 5,100ft - 13.39 @ 102  :jumping: not too shabby for sucha basic 318. i wasnt happy because i wanted the 13sec slip, but we're still messing with it. got some things to work out with it..

Only lost once outta my 4 runs, i ran the turbo 240sx twice, a modded SVT Lightning got me pretty good the second half of the track, and a 340 challenger. waiting for my friend to send video

Goody, I got a good kick out of what the Nissan owner wrote on his car, then got spanked by the N/A 318 in your daily driver. :roflsmiley:  Way to represent the MoPar crowd man.

I'll go 14.20's... I think the cam is kind of mild to see 13's. I bet a tuned 750 Demon get you there.

Can't wait to hear what u get from the set up. I think you're very close now. Low 14's r very respectable w/ a 318 w/o porting the heads. Get those heads ported and a 292° > 500 lift.. = low to mid 13's

welp. here is a short video, it was one of the worse passes. tinkered with the airdoor and changed the way i launched..obviously didnt help. but thats part of trial and error right?

heres how i stacked up against a 340 challenger, 3.91s, drag radials, crane cam, single plane intake, 2500stall i think, manual valve body...ported x heads..couple other things. His best was 14.5 for the night.
