Donations to the fund have fallen off in the past couple of weeks.  Let's keep the momentum going and think of some new fund raising ideas.  Does someone have something of value they would like to raffle off on the board?  Since it's cruise-in season, maybe your car clubs could donate one of their 50/50's to the fund? 

Any more ideas??  Keep them coming.

Then that's OK for the sizzle, poor Cudaguy though. 

At least this gives us more time.....IMO Carlisle will be the best place for it.....

How about getting T-Shirts made for those going to Carlisle to wear with Cudaguy on the front and people can go around getting donations for a Mopar lover at war in Iraq, it will work a treat many people will give donations.......

Have on the T-Shirt something like: "In Iraq since ### back 2007 Dec or something"

   But maybe don't put his picture on the shirt in case someone takes a  of one and it gets on the net...then he would find out.

That could mean something...maybe have a write-up about it and have everyone have it on/around their car with a "bucket" at each location to put money in?  If you have a small writup, telling the story with a pic of him on it, I bet you would get some donations.

Anyone have an interesting container that people can drop money in? It would have to be some kind of container that is not easily accessible so folks don't walk by and stick their hand it.   We could attach it to the tent post and I already have a write-up. 

Any more ideas?

Oops....I should have posted that right away.  We counted $101.40!   

One of our members has generously offered to try to contact Chip Foose and see if he would like to get involved.  We'll see where this takes us.

That would be awesome! He may just do it ya know. For someone defending his country and fighting in the war in Iraq. Thing is, if he does do it (pretty slim chance) it maybe on The Discovery Chanel....do they get Discovery in Iraq?

CudaGuy will find out if it's on TV if he sees it himself or not.

  I just hope he'll find the story interesting enough to go through with it.  It would be an awesome experience for the whole board to be a part of!

It sure would be, I think the board deserves it. Not too many other Forums in general (not just Mopar based) would think of something like this and actually have members donate money towards the cause.

I hope something like that happens.....be good publicity for Foose, for CCC and just good for everyone really.
