I really wish I could help out and donate the Cuda, but the only reason I am selling is to fund the purchase of the other Cuda.  It is a good car, its complete, runs good, the biggest issue is the paint bubbling.  I would love to see Don get my car.
Wasn't his family also trying to raise some money for this?  Has anybody heard from them?

I haven't heard from them in quite a while.  I don't think they are raising money...they wanted us to do it.  They've even sent us some contribution money.  I think its all us guys.

It's hard to say how many active member's we have.  But, I guess a good indicator would be the amount of people that voted for the calendar.  That was 160.

If you check the list of donations, You'll see that the calender sales gave $250 bucks already from last years publication.  Very nice of them!

There is an offer under parts for sale (Steering Wheel/Door Handles) - Lets push those items.

Also, why don't we start charging a percentage for all these for sale ads ??? I know that these ads benefit the members also, but they do benefit some people that are only here to sell their wares. We could set it up so that the percentage paid would be based upon membership duration. If less then 1 year you would pay full percentage, if less then 3 but greater then 1, then you would pay ........... I am unfamiliar with how long people like Rev, Redline, MEKRunner, etc. and other senior members have been on the site, but members like them that have probably been around since day 1, should pay 0%.

Hell, if I used to site to sell my Corvette then I would be more than happy to donate a percentage of the sale to the site.

If you charge something for a service thats called a business and subject to taxation.  Especially for those who are in this for a profit and would be willing to pay the percentage.  For them its a deductible cost of business and a source of a good headache for this board.  Not too mention how you would police the sales that did occur unless your thinking of charging just to post the ad regardless of whether or not its sold.  If you dont think the IRS would be happy to go after the board for tax, think again.

just my thoughts

This has been brought up many times by the generous members of this board.  However, the owner of the board (69ChargerRT) has been very consistent and firm in that he does not want to do this.  This board is his contribution to the mopar community and will remain free to all.  Of course, if he's changed his position, he can let us all know here.  :roflsmiley:

Just to throw out an idea ...

Is there anyone who can volunteer garage space if we could find a project? If so, are there enough people who can volunteer labor time to work on said project?

This depends on a lot. Whoever has the garage has to be willing to not only put in some time, but also make some sort of sleeping space available to people who can come by to work. Then there have to be people with the time to volunteer who are within some sort of reasonable driving distance of the work area.

If we had both a work are and enough volunteers we could get a project and get it in some sort of reasonable shape before Carlisle.

That's a pretty cool idea!  That would be make it a real c-c.com effort.  I wish I had the space!

That is a good idea . . . wish I could say I have the space but I am paying for monthly storage space now as it is.   :pullinghair:  If we do find somewhere, I will help either physically or with a parts donation depending where the project ends up!

If we can find a space and a project, and it's within driving distance of me, I'll volunteer a couple of vacation days of unskilled labor.  :)
