Man o man am I  :swear:
I sent my flip top gas cap and  trim ring off to be re-chromed  back in October.I sent it to these guys because the said they would dis-assemble, re-chrome and re assemble. This was before I found a place locally to do it. I called in November just to make sure they recieved the cap and they did. I called again in December to check on progress. I was told they would call me back. I called in total 3 times in December and got the same answer. In January I called 4 times and again got the answer somebody would get back to me. During all of this I also sent several e-mails. In Febuary I finally got a job number and was told a price which I agreed to. At the begining of April I was told the job was almost done and I could pick-it up next week. I said NO you need to send it back to me.I was told it was marked for pick-up. After all of that I finally recieved by flip top gas cap last Friday. The chrome is beautiful however it is not re assembled and I am missing all the mounting hardware, Spring. latch and pin.  After a call on Friday, Monday, and Wendsday. Today I was told they would look for the missing pieces and I should just show some patience.  :bricks1:

Any ideas on my next steps? Anybody live close to Fall River Ma? Am I wrong? is this a Nu-Way of doing business?

I know others on the site have had a good experience with them but mine has been a bad one.
  Its Nu-Chrome.
The excuse is always the same " It's real busy, Let me get back to ya" I was actual told " I'm gonna have to look through boxes of parts  to try to find them"

No not at all. It has been a comedy of errors on there side. Each time I have quesioned what happene I have been given the same excuse " it's been real busy" One time I was told " we have a realy bad system for checking in parts"

not at all what it sounds like in the desciption on the web site.

Sending a link to this post may not be a bad idea. I have complained both on the phone and with e-mails to Jack who is the guy who is suppose to price out the jobs. They have fallen on deaf ears.

:banghead: That's a bunch of doggie poo ! Now that I was polite since this may be sent to them, I'd also suggest this. Send this information (link) to Mopar Muscle and Mopar Collectors Guide, ask them if they would use such a vendor and do these people advertise in their mags?  I'm sure this kind of publicity will lessen their work load and perhaps they can do things (processing) properly.  :hyper:

Update.... :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear:

Since this post I have written 2 letters and have called 5-6 times still the same answer they will look around.

I was told today they plan to shut down for a couple of days to sort through all the missing parts. What a bunch of S#i*. This is garbage but my only recourse is to tell others.
Stay away from Nu-Crome.

Sorry, but like I said before.....there definately would be some negitave publicity going to any mag. that would accept my e-mail, especially if you can send along copies of your / their correspondance. This is total BS. Thanks for warning us.

Man that sucks, at least your doing your part by warning future customers.

Sounds like the trouble I had with the bloody plonkers at Muscle City Glass.....lazy fat asses.  :swear:

Hope you get your pieces back. IMO you should just wait to get your stuff then complain about them, ask to speak to their manager and let him/her know how appalling their service was. If you get at them now all they'll do is be even slower (if at all possible) Then, let it go and tell others about your experience. That allow will lose them sales. They lost any future sales with me, that's $200+ right there they've lost.  :naughty:

Wow, many people that I know have said that Nu Chrome was wonderful.  I was planning on using them in the future.  Please keep us posted.  I know I wont be using them anytime soon.  I hope it all works out for you.

I  was told yesterday they would give me a call this morning.
Its now 10:53pm and still no call. I will call again on tomorrow but it looks like I have lost the money to rechrome the cap as well as the pieces that make it functional.

It probably won't do any good, seems like the little guy, the joe blow consumer is always getting the shaft when a deal like this goes down, BUT...............I'd write a letter to the better business bureau (sp?) in their state and even the interstate commerce com.? I'd be b!tchin  to anybody whether they liked it or not. It's bad enough to get ripped but to have your parts stolen, oh, I mean lost is BS !  Convient or coincidence............? how rare and expensive little parts can come up misssing.   :stomp:
