Can I get your opinion?
« on: May 13, 2006 - 04:12:00 PM »
I have a 70 Barracuda the one in my sig. and I did not plan on selling it. But a guy who keeps on emailing me is interested in it. I told him around 30k and i would sell it. My wife is not that crazy about it cause she knows how much time and money i have in it. the car is a very nice street /show car. My question is, is 30k too much or too little? Like I said I dont have to sell the car but if i did............I dont know  :dunno:

Just going by the few pictures posted, I think 30K is a good starting point for sure. Nice car.

Nope ! TOO Cheap ! Methinks you will regret later. I don't care what it started life as, now it is a done & finished beauty, that would cost twice that to replace if you had to redo. And thats "IF" you could find a suitable candidate !

Stay closer to the 40K mark ! Just my opinion.

FC out.

Someone may be willing to give you $30K for a six-clyinder car and you have to think about it? Get the money in hand and wave as it's driving away....

I would sell for 30k but that's just me. If you don't have anything else on the hook to work on though you might miss it later.  If the guy thinks 30 is too much he might be right now but next year it will be worth more.

If you sell it on E-pay you would probably get more then 30 but those guys are crazy.

As far as the hood goes I would buy one of those shaker pan kits or replace it with a double bump hood.

I agree, while it is a very nice car my tastes are for numbers matching, whatever car it is,but I am a mopar purist.I would sell it and buy an R/T or atleast a 340 or bb numbers car.FOr 30k if you are a smart shopper you could get a really nice one, stay off of ebay to find it.

WHAT? is that on your hood :clueless: in my opinion lose it and put on a bulge hood and get 40.
30 is the bottom no less and I would say no more than 40 with a bulge hood.
Good luck with your decision.

I think 30K is a pretty fair price but you have to live with it when it's gone so you might want to up the price to 35k. That way you could find another and have some funds to put in it and maybe a real big block Cuda.

Why do you want to sell it? If the money is tempting you, remember that it'll probably cost you at least that much to buy or build another one. Also, remember that it'll probably be worth more as time goes by. In the end, it's worth what someone is willing to pay you for it. The trick is finding the right someone.
