Cool looking project, I like the Primer black paint
What rearend do you have in it now? Isn't it an 8 3/4? I wouldn't put a 9" in it though, it will cost ya HP! If you have an 8 3/4 keep it.
:iagree: Keep the 8 3/4.

so yeah... i was working on my engine the other day and one of the piston studs broke at 35 lbs and what makes me mad is that they're supposed to be torqued at 45lbs. well, good thing it happened while i was building it and not while i was test driving it lol just ordered an arp stud kit for it and should be able to pick it up tomorrow or so... by the way, does anyone know where i can get some decent mirrors?? been looking for some but havent had any luck.. thanks!

Hey, some one in my neck of the woods. Well, considering a six hour drive as neighborly compared to how far away I am from most the other members.

Welcome!

BTW, your bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5", if you haven't found out already.

I'm north on I-25, Colorado Springs.

I adapted some mirrors off a Cordoba to my Challenger. The basic style is almost identical, however the mounting is different and the base angle is off a little. E body mirrors screw in from the top, the Cordoba mirrors have a stud that has a nut on the bottom.  Becasue of the bracing inside a E body door is in close proximity, it was a tight fit getting them in, but they are in. Added bonus is that both the right and left are remote adjustable now.

Somebody here on this site put mirrors from a GTO or something (GM) like that and they look pretty nice.  FOrgot who it is though.  :bricks1:

crazy thing is that i saw some of those GM mirrors on ebay and i told a friend about them and he pretty much told me to do it the right way. so i figured i'd wait for the vegas show and hopefully get some there but i wasnt able to make it. so yeah... as for now, im just gonna finish the engine and everything else. then worry about the exterior.  What do u guys think about running 17s on the front and 18s on the rear?? I kinda like that... but dunno. what u guys think??

Edit:
Heres a link of the mirrors..

From the link posted, they don't look bad.  I would search around ebay or craigslist to see if you can do better on the price.  I don't know if the aduster cable needs to be modified.  On ebay the prices are all over the place, from $15-$99.  These are nice since they are already primered.

Check out the wheels section as far as 17 and 18 inch wheels go.

ok, so i found mirrors but they dont fit since they have 3 bolts? and my challenger has only 2. even if i drill the extra hole, they wont fit. so thats a bummer. found them kinda cheap too. i got a driver side now all i need is the passenger side so if someone knows of anyone selling one, let me know .
As far as the engine, i replaced the studs (on the pistons) since one of them broke and i should have some time next week to finish building it. I already got the intake manifold, light weight starter, headers, and im thinking of ordering either the msd 6Al or the mopar box which is pretty much the same as the MSD. Either way, i'll update you guys and post some pics later.
