    who drives the most to work everyday?

    Recently, I saw on the news a contest about people in our area where I live who drive the farthest to work everyday. Well some guy won who drives over 3 hours everyday one way to work. He said he spends over 10,000 dollars a year on gas to do it.

    So who here drives the farthest to work everyday?

    I drive about 3 miles . . . takes about 10 minutes with little traffic!   :bananasmi  :bananasmi  :bananasmi 


    But then I drive alot during the day!  I put on about 30000 miles each year.    :burnout:

    Not me, I have been working at the neighbors house for two months so far, all I have to do is walk across the street. Easy commute.  :bigsmile:

    I just started at a new place and it's a lot closer than how far I was travelling. Was 30 mi. each way, now only 6 mi.

    30mi each way? I am right there with you. My commute was half that as I only had to drive to our data center in downtown Dallas. Due to some headcount reductions earlier this year, I now have to drive to N. Dallas, an additional 15 miles. I burn about 1/4 tank daily in my Lexus SC400.  :pullinghair:

    I need a job with a virtual office   :thinkerg:

    right now i'm driving about 40 miles one way, but once i graduate and move, i will just be walking down the road, maybe 1/8th of a mile.

    I use to drive 80 miles one way to work.  I did that for almost three years.  During that time, I learned that cruise control was my friend.  :biggrin:

    Now I am about 25 miles from work and have been for the last five or six years.

    I drive about 30 miles one way,35 minutes highway or 45 the back roads.Luckily I have the Neon for daily commuting as the truck only gets 12-14 mpg and the cuda maybe 10!

    I step out of bed walk to the kitchen and pour a cup from the Bunn than I walk down one flight of stairs to the office and begin my work day.

    I don't have a daily job as i'm an oilfield consultant, but I put on 86K in  21mons...not bad when I charge $1/km for my truck.  :naughty:
