update EvilTwin's Challenger project!
« on: May 18, 2006 - 05:19:23 PM »
 :icon16:

I finally go around to my official introduction to the CC board! finally posting some pics of the project...

Bought it about 1 year ago and finally getting closed to primer... trying to hit the resto hard so I can get it done. What do you guy's think.

She is an original 318, B5 Blue, Auto car... but I am trying to turn her into an R/T clone. I have most of the parts to do - just need more time and of course money! Currently looking into motor building options... I want to be between 450 and 500 hp on pump gas. Suggestions welcome.. currently looking for a good deal on a 70 D/C HP block.

EvilT, looks like a very solid unibody. Good going so far.

Your horsepower goals are very attainable with a mild pump gas motor. Even if you want to build the motor yourself or with a local machine shop, look at some of the combinations that Hughes, Indy, and SpeedoMotive offer to help dial in your compression, cam, and head combination.

Oooo..evil looking Supra!  I can appreciate it.  Totally different car from the Challenger!

Any mods?  Stock those are about 320hp aren't they?  Is it a 6 speed/sport roof?

I understand that 600 streetable hp from that engine isn't out of the question.
